Here are some guidelines to observe when visiting Mt. Plaisir Estate Hotel. 

This ecolodge is nestled on the shores of one of the most special beaches in the world. It is indeed one-of-a-kind, since it is home to the highest concentration of nesting Leatherback turtles in the world. These incredible creatures return to Mt. Plaisir’s shores annually during the months of March to August; with some even coming ashore as early as the end of January.

During these months, it is important to note that the beach is protected by law and as such, a special permit is required to be on the shore from March 1 to August 31.
It is therefore imperative that we maintain the integrity of the surroundings to allow these gentle giants to have the best possible nesting experience. This includes minimising light, the use of flash photography and noise pollution.

Mindfulness for our environment, coupled with love and respect for our fellow creatures are part of our ethos at HADCO Experiences and as such, we encourage our guests at Mt. Plaisir Estate Hotel to treat all interactions with the neighbouring flora and fauna with care.
