At HADCO Experiences we aim to provide you with a completely regenerative ambience. As such, below is a listing of our frequently asked questions. Feel free to contact us for any additional questions you may have or if further clarification is needed.

HADCO Experiences offers customised holiday packages for local and international travellers that includes accommodations and cultural activities, hiking and other adventures.

At HADCO Experiences at Asa Wright Nature Centre, you can enjoy: Overnight Stays which include Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, and Dinner. The package also includes access to the nature trails, natural pools, a 60-minute trail walk with our tour guide, and a night walk. The time may vary depending on weather conditions.

Day Passes are also available and include access to the ecolodge from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. AST. Visitors can explore the nature trails and natural pools during this period or opt for a guided 45-minute trail walk with a guide. Lunch with a non-alcoholic beverage, and afternoon tea on our verandah are also provided.

At HADCO Experiences at Mt. Plaisir Estate Hotel, we offer: Overnight Stays which include Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. The package also includes access to the heated pool, kayaks, beach furniture and the beach (a permit is required to access the beach from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. during turtle nesting season.) 

Day Passes are also available and include access to the ecolodge from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. AST. Lunch with a non-alcoholic beverage, and afternoon tea on our verandah are also provided.

The pass will allow visitors access to the property from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. AST, where they can swim in the pool, take a walk along the beachfront, go kayaking, or simply sit on the outdoor furniture and enjoy the spectacular view and cool ocean breezes.

At Pawi Lodge, you can enjoy overnight stays for up to 14 persons at the lodge.

Day Passes are also available, which allow access to the pavilion to enjoy birdwatching.

At our Mayaro Beach Houses, we offer overnight stays at our beach houses, which are a 3-minute walk to the beach.

Hotel bookings can be made as far in advance as desired via email or telephone.

A 50% deposit is to be made within 48 hours of receipt of invoice from HADCO Experiences and where applicable, proof of payment sent.

Confirmation can only be given following the submission of proof of payment.

Final Payments are to be made at least 2 weeks before arrival.

For Day Pass bookings, Hikes and Birding Tours, fees must be paid 48 hours in advance and in full.

All rooms/properties can be viewed online and are subject to availability.

Payments can be made via local bank transfer, wire transfer and online credit card payments via the Scotiabank online terminal.  

Please note that the Scotiabank online terminal does not accept American Express.

No additional taxes will be charged.

Standard rates apply to CARICOM Nationals while local rates will be applied for State Officials.

 

For overnight stays, guests can check in at 3:00 p.m. AST daily.

HADCO Experiences at Asa Wright Nature Centre: Check out time: 11:00 a.m. AST on the day of departure.

All other properties: Check out time: 12:00 noon AST on the day of departure.

Guests will receive lunch prior to check out.

IMPORTANT: Late check-outs are subject to a charge of USD 50.00 per hour from 12 noon – 3:00 p.m. AST, and USD 100.00 per hour from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. AST. A full night rate applies, per person, for check-outs after 6:00 p.m. AST.

All guests will be asked to produce a valid identification document upon check-in.

For non-nationals of Trinidad and Tobago, a valid passport will be required. For domestic guests, a valid national identification card or driver’s permit can be used. 

Guests checking into the hotel must be at least 18 years of age. 

All guests under the age of 18 are required to be accompanied by an adult.

No. External food and beverages are not permitted. As such, meals are included in overnight stays and day pass visits.

Our chefs are happy to customise meals for guests who require more specific care, inclusive of the needs of vegans, vegetarians, gluten-free, etc. Our meats are also halal.

Please alert our Reservations Team about any dietary restrictions, allergies, or food preferences during booking and/or in person.

HADCO Experiences prides itself on offering our guests local cuisine and as such, the menus are generally reflective of fruits and vegetables that are in season and include local spices and seasonings.

Guests who have specific dietary requirements can advise our Reservations Team.

We are also happy to share that many of our spices are grown via composting and we do purchase goods from surrounding communities for preparation and consumption.

Guests wishing to enjoy items that may not be considered local cuisine can feel free to enquire about other options.

 

At this time, we can only accept Service Animals, which are specifically trained to to do work or perform tasks to the benefit of Persons with Disabilities, inclusive of a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability.

Please share this information with our Reservations Team, prior to booking.

 

Pick-up and Return can be arranged for an additional cost from desired locations. Please share your request(s) with our Reservations Team.

While tips are not compulsory, guests can do so at their discretion.

For an additional charge, our Reservations Team can arrange for nature tours and cultural experiences across Trinidad and Tobago, to complement your stay at the ecolodge.  

Friends and Family can access a day pass and enjoy access to the property, as well as your company between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. AST.

All reservation details will be sent via email.

For Accommodation: Cancellations can be made up to 48 hours prior to arrival without penalty. Cancellations that are made under 48 hours prior to arrival will be subject to 1 night’s charge, per person.

Rooms not occupied by 11:00 p.m. AST on the day of arrival will be seen as No-Show and are subject to 1 night’s charge, per person, unless the hotel has been informed of a late arrival.

This may differ based on the nature of the guest’s visit.

Group Room Cancellations and No Shows: No penalties will be applied for group bookings cancelled in advance of 60 days before arrival.  

Cancellation of the total of rooms from 59 to thirty 30 days before arrival will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee on the total amount of the group.  

Cancellations made 29 to 15 days prior to arrival will be subject to 75% cancellation fee on the total amount of the group.

Cancellations that are made 14 days or less prior to arrival will be subject to 100% cancellation fee, on the total amount of the group.

No Shows are non-refundable.

 For Day Passes: Cancellations can be made up to 48 hours prior to arrival without penalty. If the cancellation is made in less than 48 hours prior to the reservation, we are happy to reschedule the date for the guests. If no communication is given, then the day pass is deemed a no-show and becomes null and void. No refund will be issued.
