Driven by deep curiosity rather than formal training, she effortlessly translates the complex beauty, graceful behaviours and iridescent plumage of birds into intimate illustrations that inspire wildlife appreciation and conservation.

The Trinidad Motmot is a colourful, endemic bird known for its striking blue crown, black eye mask and racket-tipped tail feathers and it’s featured on our $5 bill. Often seen quietly perched in shaded woodland or along forest edges, it has an almost watchful, contemplative character. The motmot feeds on fruits, small insects, spiders and earthworms.
