At HADCO Experiences, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to announce the installation of solar panels at the Asa Wright Nature Centre, made possible through a generous grant from the European Union.
HADCO responded to a call by the European Union for companies to apply for grants under its Innovation Challenge Facility; and was one of the companies selected in Call 2 of the programme. With our innovation entitled Project Sustainable Wildlife Tourism, we emerged as one of the lucky awardees and obtained a grant that covered a significant portion of the expenses associated with the installation of solar panels at Asa Wright Nature Centre. We extend a special Thank You to the European Union and its executing body CARIRI for their generosity and ongoing guidance throughout the project that made this outcome possible.
A Greener Future for the Ecolodge and Rainforest
Nestled in the lush Arima Valley, the Asa Wright Nature Centre is now partially powered by clean, renewable solar energy. This milestone marks a significant step in our commitment to protecting Trinidad & Tobago’s natural heritage while enhancing our guests’ experience.
What This Means for the Centre
Powered by Purpose
This initiative is more than an upgrade. It is a promise to future generations that we are taking action to preserve the environment to ensure a brighter future for all. By integrating solar energy into our ecolodge operations, we are also creating a model for responsible tourism and conservation, right here in Trinidad & Tobago.
We invite you to book your stay with us and experience nature, sustainably.
